Sitting in, sitting with, sitting beside, being part of... belonging, being.
For the past couple of years, I have been consciously walking the same pathway across fields, ponds, and copses. In that time I have amassed hundreds of photographs, videos and sound recordings, as well as written texts: thoughts, stories and ecological research. The practice of walking the same path repeatedly has allowed me to become part of the ecosystem, observing its rhythms and changes. Water defines where I walk, and symbolises movement, connection, and transformation, and has become a metaphor for a dialogue between the land, water, and life. This project is as much about my relationship with the place as it is about the place itself. Through weaving ecological research, local folklore, and personal reflection, my aim is to create a dialogue that is both universal and deeply intimate.
